Our mother's day concert is going virtual! Tune in on Sunday May 10th at noon to enjoy our broadcast of the Mother's Day 2020 VIRTUAL Concert!

Mother's Day 2020 VIRTUAL Concert

It all started twenty years ago with our first annual Mother's Day concert at Meerkerk Gardens. In the early years we began with a solo harpist performance and in the years that followed, multiple bands have played on our Gazebo overlooking beautiful Holmes Harbor. A few years back, we introduced Whidbey Pies to our offerings  and that made for a fine finish to the elaborate picnic lunches attendees brought with them to enjoy the concert. Surrounded by the blooms of peak season at Meerkerk Gardens, the Mother's Day concert has become an annual tradition that brings together the perfect blend of music, laughter, and good times.

When we realized we wouldn't be able to have all of our loyal attendees join us in person this year we sought out a new format for you...our viewers. We asked our musicians to perform a "socially distanced style" virtual concert to be broadcast on Mother's Day.

This year's concert is being performed by Doug Roraback and the Double Diamonds who have been a part of our our Mother's Day concert for the past three years. Their undeniable spirit comes through in their music. Their concerts bring people to their feet, tapping, clapping or swinging their sweethearts to the great American songs that connect us all. Decades of performing as individuals underpins a seasoned musicality you'll feel as well as hear. They take their audiences to new places with old favorites. Everyone gets to enjoy the ride, ... while feeling right at home.  Read more about the band and listen to their extensive music collection. You can visit the Doug Roraback and the Double Diamonds website by clicking this link. We owe them a big THANK YOU for offering to re-think this year's concert and for being willing to record this year's concert music in these challenging times!

So call your MOM and your friends and family, share a virtual picnic and a piece of pie, and enjoy this concert of tunes and blooms!

The Mother's Day concert will be streamed at noon on May 10th, 2020 through our website on this web page:
